Setting Powders for Oily, Lackluster Skin

So if you're an avid reader of this blog you know by now that my skin leans heavily towards the oily side of the spectrum, with the added bonus of large pores. Score. So when I invest time in putting my face on, I want to make sure it lasts. After many wasted dollars spent on setting powders that just didn't do what they claimed they would, I've happily settled into a routine with these two.

Too Faced Primed & Poreless Pressed Powder

This setting powder is amazing. Finally, I've found something that actually keeps my makeup look matte for more than an hour (5-6 to be exact!) and doesn't budge. This is my holy grail setting powder, and I can't imagine life without it.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder - Ethereal Light

I use this powder two ways; I'll either use it as an all-over light setting powder on my "no-makeup" days (so over top of a bb cream and concealer) OR I'll use it in combination with my Too Faced Primed and Poreless Powder over top of the areas I want to look a bit more glowy. When I work with bridal clients I always always always always set their under-eye concealer and highlighter with this powder because it just diffuses light so beautifully.
