Updating Kitchen Cabinets w/Rustoleum Chalked Paint

Ottawa, ON, Canada

So. Our kitchen has been the bane of my existence for almost four years now. Since we bought our home about 4 years ago, we've made about a bajillion updates to the house, but have somehow completely avoided the kitchen. And last week I just...snapped. Couldn't take it anymore. Yes, I know we have big plans to gut the whole thing and put in shiny new cabinets, floors, appliances and more in about a year and half from now. But, as per usual, my impatience got the best of me.

While I don't have too many "before" photos, I did share a video over on YouTube that shows more of the original cabinetry, as well as the products and process I used. Want to see how I freshened up these ugly, brown and seriously dated cabinets? Keep scrolling and check out the video below. :)

As you can see from the unfinished bottom drawer in the photo above, these cabinets were ugly. And dirty. And not anywhere close to my decor style. Now imagine an entire kitchen full of those dingy brown cabinets. Yikes.

So I decided that if I couldn't walk into our kitchen anymore without wanting to burn it all to the ground, it was high time I did something about it. Lololololol. But really. Check out the video below, and be sure to enter my very first giveaway!
