Raving About: Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy Polish
About a year ago I discovered the Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy nail polishes, and ever since that first swipe I knew we were going to have a long-term relationship. Here's why:
This stuff lasts. Like, a really long time. And by that I mean 2 coats (plus one swipe of a diamond top coat) on a Sunday evening lasts me until about Friday. Which for brittle nails like mine is a really big deal. Because my nails are so fragile they bend easily, which typically causes my polish to crack and chip away quite quickly. I don't know what it is, but this gel-like formula just sits so well on my nails, and I'm not going to question it.
There is a good selection of soft nudes/pinks in both opaque and shimmery shades, as well as some bold, statement hues. And then you have the classic blood red, dark navy and black shades. My all-time favorites are featured above, but I also adore their dark grey shade which I can't for the life of me remember the name of. And then there's also the purple "Up the Ante" shade that I just can't get enough of.
I'm really in love with how professional this polish looks with very little effort, especially the opaque shades. But to be honest, the key is really the diamond top coat. It glosses over any imperfections and gives the prettiest glassy-smooth finish.
